This is a fascinating composition! It looks like abstract art with all the twists and turns. All I would just crop some of the top of the photo where the sun glare is.

Amazing landscape! the quality of the photo is not so good, and I agree that a little cropping was in order, but given the condition and the great composition, it's still a great photo!

Amazing landscape Jacques, I agree with others that you should think of cropping a bit grom the top, where you have excessive glare. Do you know which river this is?

Interesting shot - wonder how those shapes has been created - well seen.
I read the critiques so far and tried a workshop - hope you like it.

Wow, what a meandering river. It is difficult to photograph from a plane window, but you did a good job. The diagonal composition is dynamic. You have filled the frame nicely and avoided glare through the plane window. Thank you for posting this remarkable photo of a part of the world I will never see.

Very interesting. I tend to disagree with the others. The top appears to be a glacier, which would explain the braided river. Not a lot you can do about the glare, but to crop IMHO would remove the context of the image.

I've never seen a river with so much meandres, it's incredible. Considering the conditions you were in to take this shot, it's quite good.

Excellent abstract aerial photograph. Very-very-very well seen and captured.
One of my very-favorites. I also think that Jeppe´s WS is an improvement.

The photo is great, but the river looks pretty like a mountain road network ;) Best regards to all.

Ceci doit être la rivière qui s'appelle aussi Oural.
Quel vue magnifique!

This must be the most disorganised river I've ever seen!
Very good capture, considering you took it from a plane. I would crop a bit from the top and from the right side.

Wow what an unusual picture, really interesting! Are you the pilot or passenger? You managed good to take the picture through a window, nice captured!

For me this photo is incredible. The crop is good in my opinion. I'm not sure that on the top it's sun glare. Usually rivers look this way on the area of lowlands, near sea, where they enter to. Maybe it's sea basin...?
It's reality about powerful nature. A lot of information about how river finds its path throught time.

Great Shot Jacques. I liked how you put entire thing in double tone to eccentate the frozen river. I think sun flare has done some damage here and details at far end are not sharo, still my picture!!

Striking image. Reminds me of a Monet painting.
Looks like this part of Earth was made by an Impressionist God.
Great photo, I also agree with the other about leting the top go. I would also raise the saturation and contrast a bit, just like it was done on the WorkShop.

Hello Jacques-san,
How magnificent! This marvelous image of the shining freezed river that you captured with a exquisite composition, makes us very pleasant.
It seems to have taken toward the south judging from the light. Probably this is here on Google Maps. The village upper left in the photo is seen right on Google Maps.
Have a nice day, Hisashi
