Taken with a Nikon F60 at a sculpture park in Moscow, this is a tight crop of a very large curved wall containing numerous stone faces behind bars. It's hard to capture on film, but the original artwork is very evocative.

The barbed wire adds an even greater element of the suffering a lot of Soviet people went through. That all the faces are different, yet similiar at the same time, is really powerful.

It is a painful work of art, for a horrible time in Russia.

Excellent work of art, captured on film. I imagine what does it mean - coming as a tourist, but I suppose that at later hour of the day, with the low sun, the result could have been better. Thank you for sharing anyway.

This photo must have captured some of the evocative nature of the original sculpture, beacause I got a chill when I looked at it. Great composition and tone.

Very poserful work of art. The tight crop, that doesn't allow the eye to wonder away adds to the horrow atmosphere. Well seen!
