A shot taken at the end of the flood time on the Nerl river.

The Nerl river is the left tributary of the Klyazma River which belongs to the Volga's basin. The length of the river is 284 km (176 miles). The area of its basin is 6,780 km² (2,620 sq mi). Upstream the river flows among high hills grown with conifer forests. In its middle flow the river's estuaries occupy wide fields.
The main source of water for the river is melted snow. The Nerl River freezes up in November - December and stays under the ice until April.
