Well it's neither bad weather nor dense fog. Just wanted to give you an idea of what we're going through at the moment.
It's +38C and it should have been sunny but you won't see the sun no matter where you go. The whole city and the country around it have been covered with heavy smoke from forest and peatbog fires for a couple of weaks already. But the last two days were a real nightmare. I couldn't see anything 10 meters from my window and there's no escape from this caustic smoke whatsoever. And right now as I'm typing it's getting worse again.
Don't know how long we can stand this before we start suffocating.

Ужас! Не, я не хочу туда. Это вызывает отторжение. Сочувствую. У нас тоже свалки коптят, но небо видно. И дома. И церкви...
Удачных выходных, Марина,

I like this image for pwerfull information it gives. It must have been hell to live these conditions and I am glad that the fires are almost extincted. The fact that you focused on a church gives even a more important pwer to your picture.

Outstanding use of mist to help your frame. You have great details on the foreground grassy knoll, and there is something almost ominous about the buildings just visible in the background. I know that it is probably a very cute, very rural village - but in your shot it becomes the presence of humankind overshadowing nature. Great work, thanks, Iain

Hi Marina, Credits for this shot. As it is, shooting in fog is indeed a difficult proposition as photos taken in such conditions often lack contrast and come out flat. This could very well be due to the light scattering/reflecting properties of the fog because they are simple water vapours or simply because our camera meter miscalculated the exposure. But this is a good job done. Did you go manual with lowering of the EV? Regards,

Hi Marina !!
I am always attracted to foggy sights....so I selected this image.
It is stupendous ...... and I love the framing...... it is really classy !!!
That means that you are quite an artistic person.
The smoke would have gone away by now !!!!!
Have a nice week end.
Cheers from Australia.

I remember this terrible time you had 3 summers ago !
How terrible to think that you should have had a bright, sunny photo according to the weather.
Instead you got this ghostly picture taken through the smog !
At first, I thought it was a taken in a fresh , misty morning, because the effect given by the photo is very good.
How are the burnt forests ? Is it too early for re-growth yet ?
Thanks for sharing.
