Photographer’s Note
I thought it was about time I said something about how we got Japan.
Naturally we flew...
But the route facinated me.
Flying out of Copenhagen we had a north eastern route that took us over the northern parts of Siberia.
With my inability to sleep when flying I ended staring at some movie until I eventually removed the window blinds to see this magnificent view.
The time at this point around 1AM local time.
Now, as for the exact location I am basing this on the inflight information given through our entertainment screens. But as far as I can determine I would say we were right over The Gulf of Ob.
The photo was taken with my trusty sidekick, my Nikon L10 compact camera.
As for other details I apologize for the finger marks and frost on the window, an aircraft hull was sort of in the way for me to go out and clean...
Never the less, enjoy my view from the start of our journey!

Halo Odd Jarle!
An impressive and somehow beautiful photo with a very special atmsosphere. the sun here is surrounded by a "cold" blue and this emphasizes the "warm" beauty od our central star in a wonderful way. I like this one very much!
Greetings from Germany!
Frank
