Siberian fortress Photo

Photographer’s Note

Here is the first stone fortress in Siberia - Tobolsk kremlin. It was built at the end of 17 century. The main building inside the walls is Sophia cathedral (1683-86) built in the baroque tradition. So the shot was taken through the window treillage to catch the cathedral view. Now the kremlin and its buildings are not in the best condition but its restoration is going on and will be finished in two years. Thanks for each of you comments.

Золотые купола,решётки и обветшалые стены!В этом наше всё!Таня,спасибо за фотку!Согласитесь,что голубое небо подходит русским куполам больше! Впрочем,на ваших фотографиях небо часто и голубое!Единственно,что меня насторожило-это какая-то нарочитая выстроенность этого снимка!А может я и не прав!!В любом случае желаю Вам успехов!

Impressive angle of capturing the fortress through the window and still maintaining the clarity and sharpness of the subjects.
The color are very nostaglia-sm.

Hello Tatiana,
I like your POV here, framing the cathedral with the grated window. The contrast between the color and brilliance of the cathedral and the old worn walls and grate of the fortress wall is also very interesting. Very nice!
