Photographer’s Note
Ulan Ude, Siberia, Russia. This is the gates of the Monastery here - looking from the inside out. Its a wild cold empty place here, and monks sit in wooden shacks, with holes in the roofs and walls, and live, study, and meditate on life. Think I'd rather be a monk in Nepal or Tibet myself!

Very nice subject, I didn't know such architecture could be found in Russia. I posted a workshop to highlight the gate. Hope you like it.

I agree with Khamoon, it does look a lot better with the crop.
I was going to suggest it, infact I even uploaded a workshop, then I saw Khamoon had the same workshop and deleted mine.

Hi, Nick!
When I have seen this picture I very strongly was surprised - where it at us in Tyumen such monasteries? Actually here there was a small mistake. Siberia is enough greater - it reaches some thousand kilometers. But if you have in view of Ulan Ude it be exact cannot in Tyumen :)
At least - in very nice photo with our siberian cool moods.
