The Shot
Whenever I passed by this building I was either too far to take a shot, or moving past too fast, or din't have a camera at all… At last, I managed to catch it when I was moving from Old Town to New Town and the bus suddenly took a wrong direction, where it would never have gone. It was because the main avenue had been closed due to reconstruction. So I just got off the bus soon as I realised I was going by.

The Building
The construction has been frozen for quite a long time. It began in 2006 (the latest). And I think it is one of the first buildings in my town where it's the columns that support the building while walls only function as partition and insulation.

Walls vs Columns
For my city, more typical are constructions where it's the walls that support the building. The walls are made as single slabs of armoured concrete put on top of each other with floor slabs between them.

It seems that “wall” buildings are faster to put up while “column” ones require more time and precision to extend upwards. However there must be less noise in the column ones cuz the walls are made of bricks that don't convey much noise. Armoured concrete is boud to do that cuz it has steel rods inside which conduct noise perfectly well. So whenever someone makes a whole in his wall 50 meters away from your flat you can still hear it because of the rods that vibrate in chain and carry the boom-boom or drilllllllll to your place.

One more advantage of column buildings is that it's easy to change the layout of your flat. You can get a wall broken without causing the whole building to collapse which is the case with the other type. If the wall supports the building and it's broken sooner or later the walls from upstairs will sure break through.
