Photographer’s Note
This man was stout, he owned the boat that some teenagers took me and my friends out on. I don't remember his name but will always remember him as the prototypical Russian. Strong, stern, and this man in particular worthy of respect. He was a leader in his community and though I don't speak Russian I could tell that he was well respected by all those who knew him. I touched up the brightness and contrast and cropped it a little tighter; I didn't crop out his hands, but wish I hadn't missed them in the original
