Last time I've not often posted the photos from Russia. I just don't have free time for walking with camera.
Well, this is my yesturday photo from the old park in my hometown. The streetlamps give some yellow light and I'd like to show you the b&w version.

Very lovely warm light on the snow, well framed in a vertical format, interesting golden tons.

I agree with Jean...lovely warm light bathing the scene, a very special mood on it, and the beautiful White carpet, great!!
Even the B&W versión works well!
Have a nice day...

Winter has certainly reached the Ural area now. This looks like a traditional Christmas or New Year's card. The lamps created a cosy yellow light, giving this the look of a very bright sepia photo. I like the B&W version too, althugh it has a very different atmosphere.

fascinating snowy pay sage on night you captured.

The yellow hue adds contrast between the snow covered scene with sleeping trees.

There is a minimalist Season's Card Quality to this photo. The monochromatic effect you've achieved is quite fantastic. It also looks very very cold. Not to play on words, but warmest regards,

I'd agree with you, the color version is my favorite too, that golden light in that version is beautiful. And you know what this reminds me of?
Have you ever seen a movie called “Let the right one in”? It’s a Swedish horror film about a child vampire, and this looks EXACTLY like some of the scenes from that where she meets with the little boy. Brilliant scene, I like this a lot!
Happy Christmas from a still unseasonably warm Ireland

oh yes,it leaves no doubt-the winter has arrived(I envy you-we have still above 10C,it feels more like a Mediterranean:)
But the scene looks beautiful-both in this light, but also your B&W version have something unique, although they transmit a little bit different feelings.
Wish You all the best

I'm not sure which photo I prefer, so lets just say i enjoy both! haha
this one gives a bit of warmth to the obvious cold temps.
I also like the tall tree trunks and the long shadows.
Its my dream to one day visit Moscow in the Winter! which month is best for snow? January?

I like the yellow light cast by the lamps, they give a sepia effect. So much snow! but it is what we expect from Russia. An excellent Christmas card scene with an attractive vertical format.
Happy Christmas and best wishes for the New Year,
