After the Daniel's photos of the old telephone boxes in Malta, I want show you a scene from Perm. This is a part of The White Nights festival. This old doubledecker was reconstructed for a fast-food cafe.

Je trouvais bien qu'il y avait quelque chose de factice dans cette image qui ressemble à un Londres artificiel. Les couleurs sont vives et ressortent parfaitement sous ce beau ciel bleu.

This is an amazing and surprising photo. The title made me curious, and looking closely at the picture (before reading the note) I got more and more curious. What kind of chicken restaurant is that, and why does this typical London bus have a Russian number plate? And doesn't Big Ben look strange? The explanation made me laugh (and very few photos at TE actually make me laugh). The colours and light are no laughing matter, they are superb.

Funny shot! Do they sell really this fried chicken? The kids have good playground. This beautiful red shiny front looks a bit like made from plastics. Also funny is this big Ben looking like made from white chocolate. Superb colours, sharpness and composition.

An interresting conversion for this old bus, it's a fine vehicle and it makes a great restaurant. Very vivid colors, and I really like the idea that they have included the little mini Big Ben too. Very eye catching image that would make anybody smile.

I can't believe I missed this one yesterday, it really jumps off the page with color and clarity. Of course, the first thing that caught my attention was the word "chicken," and I was intrigued on what that had to do with a bus and "Little Ben!?" :) Oh, what a fun shot, full of interesting details and those solid colors. Plus, you have the welcomed addition of the children playing on the hood...those little rugrats make the shot even more interesting. Aren't festivals great, you just never know what's going to show up, and I'm glad you did with a camera to catch this scene. A simply lip licking photo! :) Have a great day my friend. Best wishes.
Cheers from the desert monsoons,

What a great way to recycle a bus!
I saw one, recently, that had been converted into a holiday home and resided permanently on a camp site!
Because it has a Russian Number plate, I would presume that at some time it has run on Russian roads. Is there a whole London theme going on, as I see a tower from the houses of Parliament in the b/?
The colours are dazzling in this well composed shot.
Have a great day,

Double decker are becoming popular, Las Vegas started using them for tourist on the Strip. Nice capture of this bus with good details and wonderful colors. Well done, tfs.

It is amazing how many places these old Routemasters have found second life. And surely they deserve is as one of the most recognizable transport design icons.
Boys on the hood and the Big yellow Ben are fun extra details.
I just visited London Bus Museum in Brooklands, that has, among other exhibits, the last ever built Routemaster.

Even if this did not have the bright red color, the double decker would have been enough to attract my attention. An enjoyable photo, TFS.

From the thumbnail I really thought it was in England:)! A very nice and funny shot with the kids playing of the bus. The sun light makes the bus stand out perfectly and the Big Ben is perfect in background.

I agree with 'Holmertz', this also made me laugh. 'Southern Fried Chicken', where have I seen that before? 'KFC' maybe! But these are clever people, 'a simple lip licking flavour'…..'finger licking good' to paraphrase 'KFC'.
I'm just happy to see, that one of these beautiful old buses, has found a new home.
Great catch and thanks for the smile.
