This is a report from trip to the scrap company.
Scrap is a term used to describe recyclable and other materials left over from every manner of product consumption, such as parts of vehicles, building supplies, and surplus materials. Unlike waste, scrap has significant monetary value. Overall, the scrap industry processes more than 145 million short tons
The scrap industry contributed $65 billion in 2006 and is one of the few contributing positively to the U.S. balance of trade, exporting $15.7 billion in scrap commodities in 2006.

I really like the theme you choose, the rust color contrasts well with the sky and the other colors, great framing and lighting, sharp at the top...

This is very nice capture and good documentation of the daily life. Junkyards or scrap lots are all over. I'm glad some of those items are being recycled. Good dof with nice details. Wonderful colors. Well done, tfs.

Hello Serghei ,
How to do a beautiful composition with a ugly subject ? You've succeeded in it : with the excellent framing , the strong saturation ,the fine sky , the result is excellent .

who would have thought that scrap was such a profitable business! lots of money around the world is spent on scrap!
I love this style of photo you show us today, not only for its vibrant colors, but just the overall subject. its something we don't see everyday, and i love it!

What a super shot Serghei - I love the jumble of rusting scrap which contrasts so well with the neon-green of the car's paintwork. A refreshingly original shot. Super! Warm regards Rosemary

Whoever put these green cars in this place certainly had an artistic talent. This could be a radically modern installation. Or maybe it's just that you found a perfect POV. In any case it's an original and very catchy photo.

old, rusty, dusty memories of transportation during Soviet time.
Goodnight Mr Lenin (as for the Book by T. Terzani)

this place surely offers a lot of opportunities for interesting photos and it must be great fun to wander there looking for compositions of shapes, colours and angles. Your cropping and framing here makes the heap of scrap look like an intriguing sculpture. I love the clarity, the details and contrasts, the fascinating colours and textures all over the frame. The sky, trees and ground also offer marvellous context. Congratulations and thank you!
All the best,
