Photographer’s Note
When I walked near the supermarket (a small wooden building that does not even closely resembles a supermarket like you probably know it) I saw some movement in the field behind it, so I ran towards it. It was not easy to reach and he did not pause for me, so I was lucky to get a shot.
He was coming with his horse and the sleigh, full of logs, from a stack somewhere in the forest. Interesting to see this traditional method. All is much more closely in harmony with nature. I like this. Much better than a noisy stinking tractor or Ski-Doo.

Hello Sander,
a nice atmospheric picture of everyday life of ordinary Russian people in the country. Not that I would ever seen anything like this on my own, but I´ve read books about Russia and this is what I imagine it to be like. The photo is well contrasted and composed, it´s a pity that the man did not stop for a second and is a little bit blurred. But it doesn´t spoil the overall quality of the shot too much.
Thanks for sharing,
Markéta
