Highest Barogue One Photo

Photographer’s Note

Or more specific, highest XVIII-century Baroque-style church - St Peter and Pavel Cathedral in St Peter and, obviously, Pavel Fortress in St-Petersburg.
Ordered by Peter the Great in 1712, when St-Petersburg was young, completed in 1733, already after Peter's death.
Main landmark of St-Petersburg, burial place for Russian Emperors, spire is 122,5 meters high.
I chose this POV, as mostly photos of this Cathedral are being taken in other angles, this POV I like for it's purity!

(But my lens was not that pure and clean after all, later I found nasty greasiness on it - you can see it, in the lower part of the photo).

Впечатляет!Хоть детали спокойно разглядеть.А то все со сторны снимают, из за речки.Объясни, что в последнее время означает числительное УАН, почему его суют куда не попадя, и тут тоже, синоним чего?

Good thing you include the people for scaling, and they look pretty small compared...

Hi Uhu, A good POV and fine composition showing this very tall steeple well. The people act as a scale which shows what a tremendous height it is. The blue sky is the best backdrop. TFS. Murray.

Privet Uhu.
Clearest, tallest, amazingly well-preserved, imperial grandeuse ... this is Petropavlovskaya kreposty full of superlatives. I like this photo about the landmark of SPB because here we can see a nice church with a calm provincial Baroque outlook while we can feel its huge measures related to a man. Simply amazing.
