I happened to find myself in Saint-Petersburg for a week. Snowy, white and cold. I didn't mean to - I'm more of a sun person - but I sort of fell in love with the city. Oops!
This picture shows two people on the frozen Neva. The brick wall on the right is part of the Peter and Paul Fortress on Petrograd Island. On the far left is Trotski Bridge.
Saint-Petersburg on the Neva River is Russia's most European city. Northern, arty and vibrant.

love that composition with the square format and those two brightly_colored characters who seems to be about to bump into the frame. Well done!

Hello Benny ,
Une composition originale et à la forte atmosphère . Le sol est blanc , le ciel est balnc , mais il y a ce batiment rouge , et les personnages qui semblent vouloir sortir de l'image .

Wonderful exposure, Benny - the sky and snow are almost completely devoid of detail, allowing the buildings and figures to swim in negative space beautifully. Well composed shot. Thanks!

hello Benny - Long time no see. Glad you took the time to post this though, I love it. Perfect square crop for this minimal and evocative cityscape. A fabulous composition. Warm regards rosemary

A red person walking across a white field is never wrong. If the picture also includes some impressive buildings in the background you're just right. At least on the condition that the photo is perfectly exposed, which this is.

Sterke compositie.

Immense capture my friend! A strong shot albeit the bitter cold white snowy hues in this image. Wow it looks really tough to live in a climate like this. This is a pleasant shot no doubt the composition and exposure are very well controlled. The stunning figs frame nicely as they lead the eyes into the sweeping view packed with brilliant detail and colors showing nature of the harsh weather so well. The surrounding buildings are perfectly positioned in good relation at the same time providing a striking contrast to the white snow patch and whole landscape as well. Great shot nicely done and thanks to the notes, Congrats, TFS
Have a nice weekend.

hi Benny. Like your pre4vious and subsequent photo, this one also is made more dramatic by the winter setting so that colours and shapes really stand out and space acquires an enigmatic quality. Regards. Klaudio.

i like minimalism in photography,in this style of photography you can bring powerful points and you have more control on your composition.snow is good field to find some opportunities to take beautiful shots like yours.
in your shot i like form of red cloths of man and the same red under roof.they amaze every eyes be cause you bring them between neutral colors, and the third point that it make a traction and three angel of move in your shot is the red-pink building at left center.another thing that it interest me is your crop to make a good horizon line and make a balance at three red corners.
