Photographer’s Note
Gostiny Dvor,, Merchant's Court, is ancient shopping mall from the 1757, right in the center of St-Petersburg, on Nevsky Avenue.
It has 2 floors, and all floors are surrounded by open arcades, as the building is very, very huge and long. It's general territory are 78 000 square meters, and length of arcades are several kilometers.
***
Here's a photo of the upper arcade, it's always not very crouded. If you'll happen to be in St-Petersburg, come on the second floor of the complex and take a walk here, it's empty, towering over crouded Nevsky Avenue, and offer very nice sights around.

Hello predator,
The distgance is enhanced by the lack of human presence... or maybe I see two tiny persons at the far end ?
The central view helps to enhance the feeling of vastness. Light well managed.

Paul
