Photographer’s Note

This is a Annunciation Cathedral in Snetogorsky Nunnery in Pskov. Built in years 1311-1313, it's a rare example of beginning-of-XIV-century Russian architecture: it was a time when lot of medieval-style troubles happened: Mongol invasions, wars with Sweden and Lithauen, feudal quarrels between Princes and so on and so on.
Merchant's republic Pskov was more or less spared of these events, and this cathedral was built, as a result.
