Photographer’s Note
Псков, церковь Николы на Усохе, 1535 год.
***
Medieval churches in Pskov is very interesting because of their design. Lot of additional annexes to the main building create very original churches, that in the middle of XX century drawed the attention of Constructivists.
Le Corbusier himself visited Pskov in 1930-s to look at some of its churches, as they fitted well his ideas of architecture. So, here is church of Nicola on Usoha, built in year 1535.

what a pretty old church, amazing architecture, needs a little renovating and fresh paint though -
is it still (or again) used as a church? great clear shot, well composed and very interesting.
spassibo & best wishes, thor.

Hello Uhu
Beautiful photo of the picturesque Orthodoks church.
The dome is a typical Russian, and i like it.

Hello Mr Owl,
I see your point, this piece of architecture really gives the impression of having been constructed in different stages!
However there are some typical elements leaving no doubt about where this is located...
Good point of view, a well composed presentation!
Greetings,
