Photographer's Note
The Uryev monastery was found in 1030 by Yaroslav the Wise to be a kind of fortress near Great Novgorod. During its history the monastery was burn many times and was extorted as well. The first stone building was the Cathedral of St George (on the left side of picture) which was built on 1119-30 and hardly reconstructed in 19 century.
Beginning from its founding the Cathedral was the burial vault of Russian dukes. So the great treasures were saved there, and some of it inside the one of its domes. The bell tower (on the right) was built in 1841 by architektor Rossi. It looks like a little unproportional since the emperor Nicholas I excluded the middle floor from the Rossi's project as it has not been to be higher than Ivan the Great belltower in Moscow Kremlin. Now the monastery is open and many of monks are living there. The small beach lies in front of the monastery's wall.
The shot was taken from the boat going along with Volkhov river. Hope you enjoy that and regards.

Privet Tanya!
Lovely place, great capture. Colours, sharpness and framing excellent. The typical exotic Russian beach. First pray then swim..
