Between Kabarda and Balkariya, a photo from Kabard-Balkaria, North Caucasus

Photographer's Note

During the first two days of our travel, we rode bikes along the Cherek River. From the beginning to this place we go on its right bank. Here, in the village of Psigansy, there is a dam, over which only pedestrians and bikers can cross the river. But after crossing we did not know where to go further. Fortunately, a local man (at the right) told to our guide were to go. The next village on our way was Aushiger. It is seen in the background.

At this place there is an invisible border between two parts of Kabardino-Balkariya, Kabarda and Balkariya. Psigansy is in Urvanskiy District, where the Kabardays mainly live, while Aushiger is in Cherekskiy District, where the Balkars live.

Dobro vece.
Lepo mesto i pogled preko brada na reku i nebo sa lepim oblacima, dobra kompozicija.

The inclusion of the two colourful men is really quite important to this scene, as they provide both eye.catching colours and a reference for size. The valley below looks very beautiful and captivating. The sharpness of this photo is excellent!

A magnificent view on this beautiful image, the presence of these two subjects us the proportion of large space. Very good depth of field with the distant mountains in the distance.
Very nice color contrast between the green of the river bank and lighter shades of the valley, beautiful sky that came with the landscape.
