Photographer’s Note
The Sochi Harbour Station building was one of my favourite works of architecture in Sochi, as you can tell by the number of postings I have made of it! Here you can see in greater detail the statues of dolphins, nymphs and other sea creatures around the base of the spire. You can also see that the spire itself is made up of multi-coloured glass. If the sun shines through it at the right angle, the amber and sienna tones shine amazingly.
This photo was taken just before sunset on a beautiful spring day. The air was cool and brisk, and my friends and I were so glad for a break from winter, which was still dragging on in St Pete, far to the north!
