Photographer's Note

This photo of the Mount Elbrus was taken from the road Kislovodsk (Stavropol Kray) – Dzhilisu Valley (Zolskiy District, Kabardino-Balkaria). About 80% of the 60-kilometer distance were passed. The distance from my point of view to the top of Elbrus was 18.5 km, if measured along straight line.

In the middle-ground you see the valley of the Artikchal River.

GPS coordinates: 43.505131 Lat, 42.524549 Long, 2300 m

what a spectacular mountain! A wonderful composition, the contrast between the white mountain and the green hills is very appealing. The white flowers in perfect sharpness complete the gorgeous scene adding a great depth to the image... great shot!

Great mountainscape with a nice flower foreground that stands out beautifully against the green of the mountains. I like your low vantage point looking upward at the snow covered peak that makes it even more majesic. Fine contrast with the perfect blue sky. I like the natural colours and the simplicity of this well composed shot.

great the view of the Mt. Elbrus with the colour hues of green to end on the snowy top of it.
The foreground flowers complete the beauty of the scenery with the contrast of the colours and the light management to make the image to looks like as a postcard.

The white flowers, which resemble cow parsley, make an interesting f/g and create a symbolic link with the white topped mountains, in the distance, and establish this strong sense of depth.

This is just a dream panorama, with an excellent composition : The beautiful hemlocks in the foreground opening the eye onto the valley, the mountain slopes and the magnificent snow-capped peak. What a breath-taking view !
However, let's not forget that hemlocks are the most treacherous plants : Beautiful, but deadly poisonous !
