Photographer's Note

This road (or better to say, this track) runs up along the valley of the Kizilkol River, from its emptying into the Malka River to its source near the Palnbashi Saddle. The place in the picture is called as Irakhiksirt Tract. Its surface is slowly ascending from East to West (from the left to the right). Somewhere at this place, there was a German military airfield during the WW II.

In the background you can see the both summits of the Mount Elbrus, eastern (covered with clouds, 5621 m above sea level) and western (5642 m).

GPS coordinates: 43.42796 Lat, 42.48123 Long, 2900 m
