Photographer’s Note
Firstly I want to apologize for presence of my figure within the frame - I know that it contradicts written and unwritten traditions of TE.
But I have no more pictures of this house. And this is most beautiful wooden house I saw ever (I mean residental homes, not churches).
I could not find any more information about this house, but it seems that it is built not later than 19th century.
It is located right in the center of Vologda, not far from kremlin. You can see that people are still living there, despite the roof is crippling and it's not visible that somebody tries to repair it.
I took this shot three years ago and I don't know what is happening with this wonderful home now. But I'm afraid that it could be lost some time :(

Hello Igor,
You are forgiven;-). Yes, I disagreed about the posing until I read your note. This house was truly worth showing here as part of saving a cultural heritage. Absolutely incredible craftmanship with lots of fantastic details. Thanks for sharing.

You are right, it a wonderful house, also if it is not very careful conserved. It would deserve a strong restoration, but from your words I'm afraid it won't receive. Good document.

Hello Igor,
this is much more showing the house as showing you. A clear capture with excellent texture on the wood. Knowing that this is not easy to solve but I have three points where I would like to have changes. The left edge should be included, the snow is overexposed and there is a bit grain in the sky. But I like it because of the clarity and beautiful subject.

Hi Igor
The detail on this house is so interesting and it is great to see your photos from such a remote part of this wonderful world. You are forgiven for appearing in this shot. Thank you, Marlene
