This is no ordinary tour of Russia. Okha's little children gave me a strange look as if I were some kind of curiosity & alien.

A charming picture of these children all dressed up against the cold, and carrying a single flower. The one in the foreground doesn`t look too pleased to have her picture taken but the two behind her look inquisitive.and friendly.I`m not too keen on the black framing.

Hi Jang. Sadly children imitate their parents and carry on their prejudices. It is disturbing for me as a former teacher to see such a little face display such hostility.(Maybe as Gladys said the girl didn't like to have her photo taken as some of the other children display curiosity and warmth.) They are a bunch of lovely and colourful children and they are proud of the lovely flowers they are carrying.
Russia is going through a difficult time with its eastern colonies like Chechnya and has a sad history of centuries under the Mongols so maybe by association a stranger could arouse what you call "strange looks". I got a similar reaction in Malaysia decades ago when some Chinese children in a family car yelled out at me-"Foreign Devil."As I said, children copy adults and history is always lurking in the shadows of one's mind. Regards. Klaudio.
