Photographer’s Note

Just a personal note on my quick flight to Beijing from New York
Our flight started from Newark, New Jersey at 13:30 Eastern Time, same day as Air France Flight 447.
We climbed over New York City, then cut across Quebec Province of Canada before taking a shortcut over North Pole.
As we entered Russian airspace, the aircraft climbed up to more than 34,000 feet. Maybe that is due to Russian military defense requirement because they have too many missiles bases on the ground of this Far eastern Siberia area.
After leaving North Pole and Nyurba, the monitor in front of each chair of the Boeing 777 aircraft
shown our path over Lensk, Kropotkin toward Chita.
Today is June 1st, 2 weeks ahead of Summer Soltice, and in the middle of the summer, we enjoyed seeing the snow covering the mountain ranges of Taskimo. The view is not perfect for a click, but I still snapped this with the 200mm telelens, as a reminder for my essay later.
