Photographer’s Note

The full name of this attractive Russian Orthodox Church, is "Khram Uspenya Bozhey Materi Orthodox Church". It sits in central Khabarovsk in the Russian far east. Taken with a 28mm lens, & polarized.

Khabarovsk is 700 km north of Vladivostok. From Dalgeo Tours:

"The beautifully restored Fine Arts Museum provides an elegant home to centuries old religious icons, Russian masterpieces, and a collection of West European art; as well as changing exhibits which arrive from around the globe. Perhaps even more impressive than viewing the icons in the museum is the opportunity to view some in their most natural and appropriate setting, the Russian Orthodox Churches. Used for years as storage for military equipment, today the church is once again filled with worship and song."
