Olkhon - siberian "serge"
„The first stop – „serge“. An ancient shamanic symbol. A few posts driven into the ground with colourful strips of fabric tied to them. According to the local beliefs, these are the places of extraordinary energy – posts to which gods tie their horses‘ bridles. It is also a place where, by leaving a strip of fabric or some gifts for gods, one can ask for good fortune… Large amounts of coins, bottles and cigarettes lie in front of the posts – these are the offerings. Everyone who goes past such a place must offer something to ghosts…“

This is a fascinating picture - what is it? Technically you have a nice line in the photo created by the posts. I like how the only color beyond green comes from the decorations on the posts - but what are they? You've got me very curious.
