Photographer’s Note
This is the Russian Orthodox chapel in Khuzhir, the largest town on Olkhon island. The chapel is small, but it overlooks lake Baikal and some of the town's newer wooden buildings. Very pretty. I took this picture in March, just after sunrise. It was cold! There were a bunch of dogs following us around. They never seemed to mind the weather. They even buried their heads in the snow sometimes and rolled around in it on their backs. Them creatures...
