Photographer's Note

This beautiful white and blue Russian Orthodox church of the Kazan' icon of the Mother of God is located near the major highway connecting Moscow with the Far East region of Russia.
The church was built in 1816. It was later closed in 1936, and was turned into a storage for agricultural produce.
In 1943 the church resumed its services, and later was renovated completely.

Excellent framed, wonderful church, but unfortunately the photo is overexposed. So much that you can not see the color blue on the facade above the portal. I tried to correct - see WS!

Hi Jenna,
I do really like this pic, and unlike what Aleksandar said above, it seems in no need of extra treatment and the exposure is just fine. The pitch blue of the domes is visible enough and contrasts perfectly with the white color of the walls.
The green grass comes to add an extra balance to the composition.

That beautiful blue and white, such a classic combination for buildings. I really cannot imagine a building such as this being used for agricultural storage, but perhaps that says more about an amazing rennovation. The gold accents are fantastic, and the perfectly painted and matching surround railing and grand entrance add a lot to the scene. Absolutely perfect composition to show the church, and it's immediate surroundings, really nicely done.
