Baikal with Cows Photo

Photographer’s Note

Another shot of the little visited fishing village of Baikalskoe, located on the northwest corner of this massive lake.

Lake Baikal is the world's largest, & deepest freshwater lake. There are several boats scattered along the foreshore here. I liked the cows in the foreground. Incidentally, Russian cheese is very good.

A fascinating and expansive landscape. The curving track leads the viewer into the scene towards the peacefully grazing cows and then to the lake beyond. I like the soft colours.

baikal seems to have a very special colors. This faded green and light-blue water. Your photo is interesting and good as always.

Very beautiful landscape..lovely green lands ..I like the happy cows in the foreground although I wish the one in the middle was 2 cm nearer to my eyes.

ce lac est tellemnt immense que ses rives offrent des spectacles fort variés. ON ne dirait jamais que toutes les photos que tu as prises là-bas représentent le même endroit.

Nice shot of Baikal. I always had the impression that Baikal had steep mountains around it, but it looks like there are also some places where there is flat land and farms. Great use of the road and the cows to give this some good foreground interest. Well done!

Olá Chris, so little visited that you are the only one on TE, presenting images of this place. Very beautiful and calm scenery. That green by the lake is stunning and this curve of dirt road in FG is a great entrance to the image.

Hi Chris!

Beautiful place, great composition and beuatiful colours. The depht of field is inmense and the sharpness and definition is top quality. I would prefer it a little darker, but that's just personal taste, I always prefer photos a little bit darker than brighter. Anyway, congratulations!
