The Moscow State History Museum. The present structure was built to neo-Russian design between 1875 and 1881, and officially opened in 1894 by Tsar Alexander III. Known as Государственный Исторический музей and located between Red Square and Manege Square.
A nice afternoon in Москва in June 2006, with blue sky and no pedestrians to obstruct my photograph of the fine architecture of this wonderful building.

this is very interesting..the colour and the shape of the building..you got some help here in composition with the white line down the middle..:)
the absence of people helps to isolate the building well

Very unusual architecture and colors. Something very different of what we are used to see in North America. Thank you

Don't you feel the photo is flat a bit? What's more it seems to be tilted left. More saturation could be used as well. Honestly, I believe this object could be shown much better.
Hope you don't mind my critic.

This is a beautiful building! The architecture is very nice and you did a nice capture, with good colours and pretty sharp. It is a pity the little bit of tiltness to the left. Anyway, it is so easy to correct it... Nice shoot! TFS!

So far this is the best picture of you galery, you have a nice low POV, good composition, a leading path (you used wisely the street in from of the Museuan to create interest and deph), nice colors, goog light and a clear interesting subject caracteristics that seem to lack on your other shots. This one is a good exemple of some basic details that you can start to observe whem taking pictures if you want to improve. The little tilt is the only drawback in my oppinion, but it can be easely corrected in PS. Hapy shooting!

Nice shot of a Moscow building I'm unfamiliar with.

How did you manage to capture the empty square?? It is always overcrowded. Was it an early morning?:)
amino (418) 2007-11-01 0:51
You managed to take this photo with the square empty and did well on the symmetry.
