Photographer’s Note

So here is the photo of the Cathedral of the Conception of the Virgin in Vysotsky Monastery in small but important town Serpuhov. Built by Prince Vladimir the Brave in 1380-s, this cathedral has a lot of additional chambers added in 1570-s. Now in good shape and well-kept.

But what about the blessings? Immediately after I stepped inside of the monastery and made this shot, some small, black-robed, angry-looking man run to me and barked at me "Photography is not allowed here! Photography is not blessed by the Abbot!", and added some quite rude remarks.
As I saw that photography is NOT blessed, but the callousness IS blessed in this monastery, I decided to go no further and went out.
After all, it's permitted to take photos in Jerusalem, and in Trinity-Sergius Monastery (main monastery in Russia), but here, exactly in this place, it's not "blessed".
In my humble opinion, people there are little too angry at the world outside, and monks must not be. (ANd usually they are not, it's first time I experienced such behaviour).
Oh well.
