Photographer's Note
I took this photo on my way to work. It was about 5 PM. I was in a hurry but I stopped to take several shots of which I chose this one to post.
This area is not too far from the very centre of Moscow and very close to the area described in my previous post.
It was almost drizzling.
Add to the photo the noise from loads of cars passing by beneath, and behind my back... and around me..
This is not the time of traffic jams yet. But everything is still ahead!
Far in the distance, in the very centre of the photo, you can see the famous Ostankino TV tower.
=====================================================
Ostankino TV Tower is a free-standing television and radio tower in Moscow, Russia. Standing 540 metres (1772 ft) tall, Ostankino was designed by Nikolai Nikitin. It is a member of the World Federation of Great Towers.
Construction began in 1963 and was completed in 1967. It held the record for the tallest free-standing structure in the world for eight years, until the CN Tower was built in Toronto, Canada in 1976.

Hello Elena,
This is the kind of view that is better appreciated through a computer screen than "live", considering the noise and exhausts. The Ostankino tower makes a perfect focus of the picture. As always fine colours and sharpness.

Hello Elena
Thank you for posting another photo of daily life in Moscow. Without your informative notes it perhaps could have been taken in any modern right-hand driving city of this world - in saying this the Ostankino Tower does make this location unique. There is evidence of a wet road and the clouds do seem to be threatening again. What does stand out is the number of black cars. In Australia the most common car colour seems to be white - and we drive on the left. Thus in one daily life photo there is much to be observed. Thank you for sharing your daily life. Marlene

Elena
Hello!
The high road has ten stripes, five for each direction. People going to the centre are already in long queues. When the roads become misty and icy safety precautions must be taken. The use of chains on the wheels still may delay the traffic more. Unless the underground net takes people to the suburbs. Warm regards. Tomi

dear Elena,
cars look going toward the distant tower that sticks the cloud in the high sky.
the human being likes the tower, surely it attracts us, from the ancient to the future...but real life is in 2D flat surface, even our visual sight is on 2D screen. 3D space is always in our imagination or imaginative sense.
this is very symbolic, and this structure is actually in our mind, then our thinking or behavior is ruled by it...about photo too.
in your shot, the vanishing point is a bit unclear, but whole impression is quite effective to express your idea.
thank you,
Akihisa

Hi Elena.
Fantastic shot in dim light.
I love the blurry car on the left, contrasting with the really sharp ones on the right. Superb perspective, and it's good that you have placed the needlepoint slightly off centre. Moscow seems to have change enormously since I visited it twice in 1974 and 75, but of course, the whole society has changed so much since then and no doubt there are many more cars. This could be taken in many cities in the world. Thanks for your interesting note. It seems you work during the night!

Andrew

Hello Elena!
I really like seeing this unknown side of Russia! The main aim of TE, in my opinion! The photograph is really good, with correct technical qualities!
TFS - Congratulations!
