The memorial of the cosmonautics (=astronautics) on sunny Sunday is occupied by the Moscow youth piqueniquing and playing, without any obligatory respect to those sanctuaries.

See this monument from the opposite (front) side, the view perhaps even more typical for contemporary Russia

Hi Peter!
First, I like the monument, thanks for sharing this. It really evokes the upwards tremendous acceleration of a spaceship, with the slightest hope of return, just like climbing up a cliff with no stuff and becoming aware at the first halt that the wall grows steeper and you can't but fall... or reach the top...
Well it's just the impression you get as you fancy a walk on that structure. What a memorial!
Let alone that the view takes much from a vast sky with great curtains of delicate light. The inclusion of youth is well seen and well done.

But I afried to say about the sharpness & Colors.

You can make it more impressive by makeing some fien tunning.

Nice composition of this prominent monument with the people beside it giving some perspective to it's height - exposure is also good and with good use of polarizer you got enough contrast to isolate the outlines of the clouds!

Hi Peter,
A great point of view. Actually the clear and simple composition is what drawn me in the first place to your photo.
There is a fine balance here between the monument, which has a great shape, but too strict lines, and silhouettes of young people gathering around, that don't care that much of cosmonauts and their memorials.
My biggest complaint here is insufficient sharpness, so I tried WS to improve it. Hope you'll like it.
