Photographer’s Note
This is my 200th posting to TrekEarth and I decided to continue the theme of unusual means of transport. The Kostroma oblast is a huge piece of land, more than 400 km from the administrative center Kostroma to the most remote rural districts like Bogovarovo. But due to lack of qualitative paved roads the people can migrate from there not very often, especially during spring and autumn. So the small aviation is the real rescue for villagers. The legendary "kukuruznik" AN-2 here is. Hope you enjoy the picture.

Hi Denis,
Very nice shot of this legendary plane being ready for take-off. I see the early summer is at it's best showing bright greens on that birch tree background.
