Photographer’s Note

As a I organize my photo files, I post another early morning scene from Alona Beach in Panglao Island, Bohol. It is a charming resort town and I always include a stop here whenever I visit the Philippines. It probably will be another year or two before I can visit this place again.

The branch to the upper right side of the frame is an African tulip tree, and it produces the most colorful large blossoms.

Hi Danilo,
It looks great with its all details.. First I like the clear sky and the white boats.. The color of the white creates nice contrast with the sky.. And the place of the tree and the colors of the leaves are perfect too.. In short, Congratulations:)

calm scenery well added by the tulip tree. The simple colour combination of the blue and white gets a nice mood by the tree.

You seem not to run out of RP photos to post :) Yes ... Bohol is quite a nice place to visit ... nice beaches and friendly people. The sharpness of this photo is quite outstanding ... and so as the color quality. Good simple color contrast ... the framing created by that lovely tree is very good. Excellent work, Bay! tfs

excellent capture! Two things attract me in this image: one the the light specially on the boats, the other one is the inclusion of the tree as the "blue-emptiness-breaking". Details are superb. One more great work!

Maybe a dream image for a good vacation with this superb image on one exotic island.
The colour of the white creates nice contrast with the sky, and the place of the tree and the colours of the leaves are perfect composition.

The light and colors are superb and sharpness is fine. The flowery branches on top right corner add a pleasant touch of color and gives depth to the scene...Many little boats there... Fishing or for tourists?

bohol is awesome! i sure will go back making sure to get a big plunge in this resort. lovely blue, almost cloudless skies- excellent contrast to the white bangkas waiting to set sail. the inclusion of those branches breaks the "monotony" of the blue above and the bottom sea.
