Photographer’s Note

Bulad in bisaya or Dried Salted fish is a common commodity found in any Philippine wet market. On a trip to cebu i was more than amazed to see rows of stalls selling what could have been the most number of bulads ive ever seen in my lifetime.

When in cebu check out the Taboan Market and youll get so see what i mean.

Aside from fish such as danggit, lapu lapu, bulinaw there are also squids and shrimps who have been salted and sundried.

Im not sure whats the variety of this certain bulad but i was deeply impressed on how the vendors arranged them in the "bukag" (big abacca made basket) in a circular manner.

Presentation is still a must huh.
