[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
Sagada has an extensive system of caves and underground waterways. Lolo-ong and Matangkib Burial Cave are closed to cavers without permits. Sumaging (big cave)can be explored in four to six hours. The further into the cave you go the less bats you find and the more wet you get. Muddy and slippery rocks make the initial descent tricky but once you reach the smooth limestone and calcium formations you are all good since your barefeet have great grip. There are great places to swim and relax along the way.

Here is another photo from inside the cave.

Very moody pic'. The clair-obscur is great here as it enhance the feeling of concentration, relaxation or meditation. There is something mystic around. Well done!
Cheers,
Pris.

the man's pants camougage him so well and he seems to be born from the rock. The point of view is a bit unusual and i wish there was a little more detail to the man's face. I do like the texture of the rocks and the bit of tension that comes from the his hands.

One thing is for sure you're photos taken in dark places are vastly improved. This is extremely sharp. I also wish though we could see more of his face, buit I do like the mood.

i like this ben! i like the big negative space in the top of the frame. it's an interesting angle. was he lighting the lantern? if so, it would have been great to catch him in action ... making the shot more dynamic and perhaps casting some light onto his face!

Mate,
Im loving the frames!! Nice shot i really like the atmosphere here slightly dark. I actually dont mind not seeing the cavers face. He seems to be deep in thought. About what who knows!
Cheers
Peter

its interesting how sometimes our foreign guests have more to say about our land than
the ones who live here. I hope i have something to share with a well travelled and inspiring
photpgrapher like you.

If you will kindly re-visit our Sumaguing Cave.
