Photographer’s Note
Fish Vendor at Sutukil in Cebu City, Philippines.
This place (Sutukil) is amazing. It is basically a seafood market/restaurant where they sell fresh seafoods in the front ... for you to choose for your lunch/dinner. They will then cook the food for you according to your specification. They seat you in the back overlooking the sea shore. Beautiful view of Cebu sea while you enjoy cheap, fresh, and delicious food. When in Cebu, drop by, it is near the Magellan Shrine on Mactan.
Added: Su (sugba = broil) Tu (tula = stew) Kil (kilaw = marinade in lime or vinegar like the Mexican ceviche)

Bonjour Ken,
De belles couleurs pour ces poissons ! Il me semble juste dommage que la profondeur de champ ne soit pas un peu plus grande... Merci pour le partage. Gérard

Interesting colours in the fish there, for me a little sad as well as those fish would look better swimming on the reef rather then laid out in a market...

Ey, nice contrast among the fishes (groupers, parrots and trevallies) placed together like a collage. I love the colors of the parrot fishes most especially (the blue one and the one with yellow and blue). And are those lobsters at the back? :)
Informative notes and a great slice of life. BTW, i've been told that Sutukil is adaptation of "shoot to kill" because like hired hitmen, the vendors would gladly oblige to your requests on your chosen victim (the fish, that is).

nice title there.. you captured a great variety of colors.
To add to Emer's comment, I also heard Sutokil means SUgba, TinOla, & KILaw - some of the most famous food preparations in Cebu.

Good colors and details. No wonder why you gained so much weight in your vacation.

Hi Ken...
Colourful creatures of sea & land... Judged by your focus I suspect you to pay most interest to the beautiful lady, quite understandable! The grayish ones with the brown spots, is that the lapu-lapu? If so they are my favourite...

Pablo -
