Another photo souvenir from my Boracay vacation last summer. Another favorite. With the tourists coming from all over, so do the traveling artists. Shawn, the performer together with his musicians played with fire to the delight of the evening crowd gathered along the beach. I was taking an after-dinner walk when I caught the scene. Good thing I came nearer after several shots from a distance. He saw me and my cam and just before ending the performance, posed right before my loyal point&shoot. I didn't flinch, though I did think about the camera's safety. And I realized it's one of those moments when I can hold my ground for the love of a shot.

It is a beautiful photo Tina, and properly composed. Putting a little more light on the face and arms would negate the big area of dark background and provide continuity to the arms. i made a WS for you to show you what I have in mind.

Hi Tina - I tried to open this the other day and my computer kept timing out - glad I got there in the end - I didn't realise it was yours at the time - lovely shot - really nice light on the performer - great composition - I like the subtlety of the revelation of Shawn in your original but the workshop also works well. I love images like this - as you would see if you could see the body of my work!
best wishes Kev
