Photographer’s Note
Boracay is an idyllic place...a beautiful backdrop for all kinds of shoots. It is not uncommon to see many Filipino actors and actresses in the island. There are a lot of commercials and advertisements shot in Boracay. Well, this one is no advertisement. This guy is apparently practicing his Karate kick and would like his wife (or girlfriend maybe), to capture the action. I never saw their picture. But I showed them mine in the LCD...they just laughed.
I will catch up with you guys later. So busy with schoolwork.

what an instantaneous shot! look how the white sand flies! I'm not too sure about the slightly oversaturated colours though...a little heavy for my taste :)

i feel the top is too empty here. maybe you have another one where you are closer to them and in that way managed to put the guy against the sky?

a moment well captured and the saturated colours are wonderful.I like the inclusion of much sky as there is a good balance of colour. The capture of the sand spray also gives this action quality.

Hi Manuel
This is what I call action shot
I think it’s a very good shot for the expressions on his face,
For the DOF but also for the girlfriend./wife sitting there
If she was not I would wonder whether is face or not
Framing and colors are very good too

Very good action picture.

Funny, incongruous, great capture. Of course the two characters make the interest of the shot, but I confess i'm in awe of all the green/blue tones you've got in here between the sea and the sky. This is a festival of colors in a very aesthetic "dégradé".

Hi Manny!
I guess I'll play the dissenter here, it's a great scene and you did a great job technically, but I feel that the composition isn't your strongest. Way too heavy to the centre/right, but you couldn't predict beforehand where he'd jump so it's ok.
Sige pare!

Everything has already been said above, but I have to say that this is a fantastic, well timed and a beautiful shot. I like the blue/green hues of the sea behind. The camera girl tried a differnd angle which might be interesting too - I think that she cathched him with only sky behind.
Good job, Manny.

Everything has been said.
I like patches of sand on his body that tell us he had landed on sand many times before you took this shot.

Fantastic presnetation Manuel, great details biginning with the sand in the air. From your point of view, his head is righ on the horizon and he barely did it with his foot, I like it, great timing, very good work.
