Photographer’s Note
El Nido in Palawan is a magical place. From its ageless towering marble cliffs to its white sandy beaches with crystal clear water, many refer to it as paradise or the last frontier. There are countless beaches to discover, so many in fact that sometimes you feel as if you are on your own secluded private beach. You will also find enchanting lagoons with tranquil turquoise-green water, caves that can take you to hidden beaches, and a very diverse variety of wildlife.
There are many eccentricities to El Nido, for example the electric power is 12 noon to 4pm and then 6pm to 6am. Also you will not find any banks here, although you can change foreign currency and travellers cheques at a couple of places albeit at an increased rate. There are also no telephone lines so communication is mostly via mobile phones plus there are many internet cafe's scattered around the town. But it's a wonderful place to visit.

Hi Danilo,
What a dream of a view and landscape.
Palawan is sure one of my dream destinations. On the map it looks like a hard place to cycle around though.
But what a beautiful photo.

hi dan,
magandang hapon at advance happy memorial day para bukas! kung ang amerika'y may AK as its last frontier, Palawan din ang para sa atin! hindi pa ako nakatungtong dito pero nasa sa itinerary ko na ito, hopefully. gusto ko ang framing mo na kung saan ay nasa gitna ang bangka swinging with the alon. truly a paradise worth the visit, and inspite of the, to borrow your word, eccentricities it definitely is a helluva place! Wow Philippines, ika nga!
ingat,
Benedict

Hi Danilo
I have a couple of weeks winter vacation when Korea is -20c in January & this sure looks tempting. Is it easy to combine El Nido, with Porto Gallero, Boracay & Cebu? This tropical beach reminds me of south Thailand. Tfs!

Hi Danilo,
Yes, magical it's a good adjective to describe this dreamy beach, which doesn't need coconut trees to look idyllic. The light and colour patterns in the water are amazing and you used very cleverly the low POV and wide angle to make a great compo, balancing the hills on the BG wit the rocks on the FG.

José

Hello Danilo,
I never went to Palawan yet but the images I have seen tell about a place that stand out from the rest of the Phils nature wise!
Actually I can find some features from mainland Thailand and Cambodia in limestone structures and small rocky islets...
A balanced composition, good colours & details!
Greetings,
Pablo -

Hi Danilio,
It really does look like paradise with the diagonal sweep of sandy beach against the blue waters. The little outrigger is just perfect in this scene. The note makes the place sound like a dream also.
