GOING HOME

Goin' home, goin' home
I'm a'goin' home
Quiet-like, some still day
I'm a'goin' home

It's not far, just close by
Through an open door
Work all done, care laid by
Goin'ta fear no more

Mother's there, 'spectin' me
Father's waitin', too
Lots of folks gathered there
All the friends I knew.

Music composed by classical composer Anton Dvorak. He was visiting the United States in the early
1800's, heard what was considered to be a "Negro spiritual" that stuck with him when he returned to Europe. He liked it so much that he made
it part of his "New World Symphony."

The lyrics was by Annie Haslam.

It was popularized by Frank Sinatra, Elvis Presley, Osmond Brothers, Neil Young and other singers.

The photo was taken while I was going home to Jaro, Iloilo from Guimaras Island. I have to cross Guimaras Strait in an outriggered boat driven by an outboard motor.

Hello André,
A very beautiful composition with the parts of the boat and the look at the silhouette of the island. The sun sets in a very dark sky but the light is at the right place on the picture. So is the reflection in the sea.

Hi Andre,
Good POV, You've take advantage to the fullest the prevailing lights to come up with a beautiful silhouette effect shot. Framing was nice too with some parts of the banca were included in the scene. BTW Iloilo is a very very lovely place madamo ang guapa.

Interesting colours as the day is approaching its end!
Still some daylight present and it is cleverly used...
The details of the banca makes a fine frame of our view, and the light reflects nicely from the shimmering sea!
