[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
The province of Negros Occidental is known as the "Sugarbowl of the Philippines", producing half of the country's sugar. Sugarcane fields are everywhere, and it is a common sight to see large trucks carrying harvested sugarcanes into the mills, where they are processed.

As usual, the farmers were the main subjects I went to look out for. This farmer was busy planting the fields, dropping cut sugarcane sticks into the ground, and later covering it with soil. It would take 10-11 months for the sugarcanes to mature before they are harvested.

Bonjour,
Belle scène de la vie paysanne.
Bonne journée.

Hi Alford. This daily life picture is made more realistic because of how the guy seems to be unaware of you and is going about his business. I've been to the Sugar Bowl in New Orleans but never knew about one in the Philippines! I like the light you had as well. tfs Alford.

Hello Alford,
This is a fine depiction of everyday life under the burning sun!
Someone told me the first railway in the Philippines was build in Negros, to transport sugarcanes from the fields...
Well composed image, tech top shelf!
Greetings,
Pablo -
