Photographer’s Note
Taken on a high noon in Boracay. Reputed to be one of the best beaches in the world. With its white, fine sands stretching on the island, it remains cool that one can walk even at 12noon without fear of scorching his feet.
In this photo, I used a circular polarizer to deepen the shades of blue and make the white clouds stand out. Picture is a bit grainy because of the film slr. Hope you like it still.

Hi Che
This a beautiful view with a nice sky and a good depht of field. I found that your image could have been a bit clearer. The contrast between the yellow boat and the rest of you photo is good and I really like the big clouds behind.
Cheers

Hey Che,
Great colours here from what I assume youve gained from a polariser, the light blue sea looks great against the sky, and the yellow sail sticks out well. A great scene.

i think there is too much sky in this photo and the boat(s) placed way to the right. these actually draw the viewer away from the scene. in fact, one can't tell which your subject is from this perspectve.

Hello Che, how can you have such a beutiful sky in your pictures ? I really wonder, cause if i would have been in the same place and the same shot, my sky would have been more white and burnt !
... perhaps the diffrence between digital and argentic ...
This picture is an invitation to dream and to imagination ... thanks a lot, i 'm about to fly staying on my chair :)
(And yes i know, i should go there miss the traveler agency ;) )

Hi Che - wow, awesome place, the polariser has tamed the sky nicely, and the bright sails add a colourful touch, I wish to go there someday.

Excellent image - I really like the dark blue sky effect that the polariser gives. The low horizon works well, allowing a good view of the sky, and the boats on the right, particularly the one with the yellow sail, adds some extra colour & contrast to the scene.

I like the deep blues of this one contrasted with the yellow sail. An excellent eye for color.

Ang ganda! Beautiful colours thanks to the polarizer I guess? I can see how that beach has earned its reputation, and you've presented an image of it that really is Wow! Philippines!

Ostensibly one of the best beaches in the world. I happen to have gone way before all this developement
took place in 1982 and it was quite a sight with actually no one but you, nature and the ati's.
i enjoy this peaceful scene as you can hardly take a photo without anyone in view today.
thanks for the post.

Hi Che. I have just been browsing your very impressive Philippines gallery, and like this one the best. Great use of the CPL filter. The grain isn't too noticeable. Re Walter's comment about there being too much sky: Yes, this doesn;t conform to the more traditional 'thirds rule' of composition, but I think it still works quite well as it creates the impression of a lot of open space. Cheers . . . David
