Puka Beach, Malay Aklan

I took this photo while my son was busy swimming . I was so amazed by the serene feeling I felt when we got off the boat. The stretch of white sand is a few minutes boat ride away from the northern tip of Boracay island.
This beach is where you will find the rare puka shells in Boracay. “Puka” is the Hawaiian word for “hole”. This is where the locals gather the small puka shells to produce beaded necklaces, bracelets and anklets.
