Photographer’s Note
my friends and i decided on our third day visit to the island to go see the other side of boracay. we rented a car and off we went to see the "silent" part of it. it was far different from the usual boracay resort where most of the actions are; where most of the visitors converge. here, private beach properties like this abound- mostly owned by the wealthy and the priveledged (of course) and by some "honorary filipinos" - by that i mean, foreigners who became filipinos by reason of marriage or by being naturalized citizens; or by pinoys who worked abroad and now retire for good in their own 'no-place-like-home' philippines.
to my friend danilo martinez, (cunejo2000) i guess we should join the bandwagon, huh? ayaw kong mag-retire sa convalescent home dito!!.....:-)

Hi Benedict,
Besides showing a beautiful view, I like it for the pov, very "swinging", for the shorelines and also for the line formed by the foam of the waves.
Regards, José.

Another of your semi=panoramic shots Benedict that has all the colours of nature from greens to blues in good light. The pov and dof are imaginative ans so is the framing. Good overall composition.

Hi Benedict,
This certainly is a beautiful view of the other side of Boracay. Gorgeous blue water. Yes, I'm constantly looking for a possible place to retire in the Philippines. As a matter of fact that was the main reason of my last trip. I had narrowed down the places to Camiguin, Bantayan Island, or Davao. Boracay is off my list because of poor water quality. When I visited Boracay I was quite alarmed by the magnitude of E. coli that showed up on my testing kit. Needless to say I left the next day and was scared of getting my feet in the water. I bought with me E.coli testing kits, which our company developed, and measured the these suckers in in all beaches I visited. Camiguin was by far the cleanest - it's really pretty too. Hope all is well with you. Cheers! Danilo

Hello Benedict
I've been Boracai in 81/82, for 6 months, and that time there were no cars...maybe one motor bike, if I remember well!
A well chosen POV showing the other side with its attractive blue water, and a good sense of depth.
All the best
Marilyn
