I had a great day that time, just waiting for the golden hour with my camera and doing some snap shots of the beach scene in Boracay. People watching, definitely one of my hobbies that I really enjoy.
So, I've been bored of doing the same posts so I decided to tweak the image to make it more interesting. Your insights and reactions are highly appreciated.
Boracay is just one of the many islands of the Philippines where you could find such fine beaches. From its clear luke warm waters, super fine flour-like textured white sands, lengthy coasts, sumptuous food, tourist friendly and warm people. It surely does rival the rival the best beaches of more popular destinations such as the Caribbean, the South Pacific as well as neighboring Thailand, Malaysia and Indonesia.

This is something different. But you should agree that the color tone saved your pic from question of acceptable margins..
At first look in thumbnail mode in "galery" section it is confused matter that how it is possible to get the shadow more darker than the original.
So,it is carefully handled.I love that work.
Have a nice time.

wow, what a pleasant view. You presented it nicely... Like the yellow-orange tint with those silhouettes... Like the upside down presentation with very interesting reflections. Excellent shot. Tfs.

Absolutely fantastic tale!
The road through life, waves of trouble, stillness rest - brilliant. It reminds me to the Egyptian hieroglyphics.

Hello Matt - Yes, I think the image flip works and I like the weightier figures in the lower frame. Good texture and a simple colour-way makes for an attractive beach-side shot. warmest regards Rosemary

i love your title and the way you describe your motivation for presenting the photo honestly: "I've been bored of doing the same posts so I decided to tweak the image to make it more interesting" LOL, it works!
i would even go further and cut off the real part, only leaving the reflections. wouldn't it look great?

Pas persuadé que tu aies fait le bon choix en retournant l'image? Pour moi, la photo originale à l'endroit est très spectaculaire avec ces couleurs dorées et l'effet silhouette sur les personnages.

Hola dear Matt'
Wow I'm speechless. What a stunning, artistic, original and beautiful photo. I like how you turned it upside down and the golden colours and silhouettes are a visual feast. The white frame finishes it off perfectly. Congratulations on one of the most impressive photos I've seen in ages.

I like the idea and the title of this shot.
I am not sure if it was better to twist the shot, but as you presented it, it works.
Good setting for the exposure with nice vivid golden colors and a good rendering of the silhouettes still keeping some details.
nikkitta (11230) 2013-10-15 8:32
It works and very well, but more that the inverse way presented in your capture, I like the golden tone and the great contrast with the silhouettes of the waking people
Quite artistic and original capture, must have been a pleasure to stay at the beach relaxed taking photos
The cafe at La Boca is on top of a Museum, a modern and very beautiful one
jcpix (9324) 2014-03-22 22:46
Well, you certainly captured the essence of "golden," there's no better way to describe the color. I'm a sucker for silhouettes, so I was quickly drawn towards this image in your gallery. Not only that, but I love the fact you've changed it up and turned the composition on its head...quite literally I might add. :) Creative concept, and a wonderful result! Enjoy the new day. Take care.
All the best,

you have realized here really a very good effect for your picture during the golden hour. Excellent colors and very good dark coontrasts. I like the picture very much.I have also used this technic for one of my pictures ... see on my intro page.TFS.

Congratulations on this ingenious photo, it is brilliant. Here is one suggestion: Why not crop the lower part out so that it is not so obvious that this is an upside down photo and call it "Ghosts on the Beach"? I attempted that idea by cropping in 21:9 aspect ratio, but if the original photo has some extra area on the edges, you might be able to come up with a real winner. I will upload my version to give you an idea.
This is, however, just an idea for a derivative work. The photo as it is is brilliant already.
