TGLT! Thank God for low Tides!
Now, I bring you to Boracay. A much famed tourist island located at the middle group of islands of the Philippines. This was taken earlier this year during a brief vacation. Really enjoyed that whole noon as I was just having a great time photographing people and scenes while soaking myself at the clear waters of this paradise.
That night, it was low tides thus the rippling effect. Here you could see people moving their stuff down to the water because of this massive ripples.
Boracay is a tropical island about an hour's flight from Manila in the Philippines. Its long white sand- (imagine the texture of flour-that's how fine the sand is) - beaches rival the best beaches of more popular destinations such as the Caribbean, the South Pacific as well as neighboring Thailand, Malaysia and Indonesia.
Used a cokin GND .9 and a warming filter.
Kindly check out the workshop as I've uploaded a complementary photo. Enjoy!

I agree, low tide is a good photo subject. You handled it nicely on this shot, giving the biggest part to the sand ripples. Added to the good setting for exposure giving details and saturated colors in the sky, it is giving this attractive view.
As bonus, the boats and the peoples on the horizon line.

A very nice, colourful, warm, sunset image with a good story on the horizon. Useful info "cokin GND .9 and a warming filter".

lovely graduated colour in those superb warm tones. The ripples in the sand are perfectly seen and captured and the winner in this shot for me. You have captured the light and shade beautifully.

Great graphical effect with diagonal lines made by the sand and water, beautiful warm colors

Impressive evening shot and what a great feeling of depth and you are blessed by the wonderful angled warm light which turns this to such a fabulous shot and the contrasting colors catch the eye here. It's nicely constructed compo with the rippled sands forming strong diagonal lines leading through to the horizon. It's very tidy, crispy and well organized shot, i am sure you have clearly put a huge amount of effort into it. A delightful shot indeed, my compliments :)) Well done Matt!

Nice minimalist shot, that works well to emphasise that wet sand. It may be a little "soft", as you say this was hand-held, and the blurred figures suggest quite a long exposure. I'm guessing you also used a small aperture to get a big DoF. I wonder why I can't see the settings information...

Wow, this is just stunning. As you say: thank God for low tide! The striations on the sand are simply marvellous and the cherry on the cake are those wonderful pastel and pink tones. As for your WS, it's got an attraction ofits very own, quite different to the original photo and certainly good enough to be posted on its own as an Original. Anyway, great work, I feel de-stressed just looking at this.
Bonne amitiés et belle journeé

Un paysage qu'on aime a contempler, qui fait rêver et qui séduit, bel avant plan avec la forme du sable mouillé, le fond tendre et romantique par ces couleurs pastels, belle réalisation

Hi Matt. A water area of great depth and beautiful colors. I particularly like the inclusion of the foreground. The sand structures the scene perfectly. Well done. Best regards, Wolfgang.

I like very much this curious seascape and the atmosphere of your lovely photo. There's amazing depth and extraordinary perspective. The ripples and the people and boats in the distance offer a captivating sense of movement and vivify the whole frame. The subtle light, on the other hand, and the subdued chromatic tones make the atmosphere very peaceful. Your lighting is excellent and the contrasts captured perfectly. A very beautiful holiday image. Your workshop picture is wonderful, more graphic and artistic. Congratulations and thank you!
All the best, have a lovely day,
